I found this book to be very informative and eye-opening. I don’t remember much of my history and economics from school, and this book gave great insight to today’s financial situations. There is a good review of economic history in here to give the premise of the book a foundation. I greatly enjoyed that part of it. The information on purchasing gold and silver was concise and understandable. I felt this book really helped me to know how to prepare for the future.

Once I started reading, I could not put the book down. I love that every fact was backed up with date and resources. I will definatley be buying some silver.
5 Stars Investing in Gold and Silver
The Book highlights the concern of all past fiat currencies. History has confirmed that all fiat currencies eventually collapse. One only has to read about the Greek, Roman, US state’s “Continental” currency during the inter state war, (hence the saying “I don’t give a continental”) and during the 20th century currency collapses e.g. German, French, Argentinean and Zimbabwean currencies.
To presently read that the US Federal Reserve Bank is currently printing excess Fiat Dollar Notes at the rate of 13% p.a., does not argue well for the future of the US dollar and the inflationary impact this will bring upon all US residents.
5 Stars Must Read for preparing financially for the Future
Michael Maloney does a great job challenging the reader to be prepared for the “financial shock of the future”. I appreciate how he has backed up much of what he sees coming with the concise historical data of what has been true of gold and silver. He is very convincing and informative regarding how one should prepare. I felt too that he is very sincere in his wanting people to be better informed and knowledgeable so that the reader can and will take the time to make better decisions for whatever the future may hold. That future doesn’t look good at all for the dollar. This book is a must read for anyone who wants a better understanding of the importance of Gold & Silver in their investments for the future.
5 Stars Perfect for a beginner
I first read this book about a year ago when I became interested in silver as an investment. I didn’t realize the wake-up call I was in for. I found this book to be very easy to read, without a lot of jargon. Thank you Michael Maloney for writting a book with so much good information that a beginner can easily understand. If you are looking to invest in gold or silver, or if you are just interested in the history of money (gold and silver)then this book is for you. Thanks again Michael for changing my context.
